- Pipe-laying in areas with high ground water table with focus on choice of dewatering system and shoring system (also suitable for postgraduate students studying earth sciences)
- A study on the available pipeline repair systems to avoid excavation. The student could elaborate further on existing systems in order to streamline them for specific purposes
- Comparison of production costs, life cycle costs, suitability and environmental impact, based on pipe system, shoring system and costs for excavation, surround, backfilling, etc.
